Hotel Policy / House Rules
Our goal is to offer our guests an exceptionally clean, safe and friendly hotel experience. This hotel policy/house rules are considered part of our booking contract with you. As a guest of the hotel, and upon check-in, you accept all our rules, terms, conditions and procedures. These Hotel Conditions/Rules of Use are reported here to help promote the safety and enjoyment of our guests and to ensure that each guest is aware of the agreements between RoccaRegina Hotel and the guest. Our hotel policy/house rules may be subject to change.
Damages Policy
DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF PROPERTY: You are responsible for any damage caused (whether through negligence or recklessness) to the hotel rooms or the rest of the property by you or by any other person in your party, whether you are staying overnight and whether you do not stay in the hotel during your stay. RoccaRegina Hotel reserves the right to retain the credit and/or debit card details presented at check-in and to charge the credit/debit card with such amounts as it, in its sole discretion, deems necessary to compensate or compensate the cost or expenses incurred by RoccaRegina Hotel as a result of the above. In the event such damages we find after the guest’s departure, we reserve the right and authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage to your room or the rest of the property caused during your stay, including and without limitation missing or damaged items, smoking charges, cleaning charges, guest compensation, etc. We will make every effort to repair any damage internally before engaging a specialist to carry out the repairs, and will therefore make every effort to minimize the costs that the guest would incur.
DAMAGES DISCOVERED AFTER CHECK-OUT: Rooms found with rubbish scattered around, in complete disarray, and/or “torn to pieces” will be subject to a fine of €250 to €500 for deep cleaning costs, administrative costs and/or or third parties, in addition to compensation for damages.
ROOM DAMAGE: Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishings and equipment, including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, artwork, etc. will be charged 150% of the full replacement value plus any shipping, handling and incidental charges. Any damage to property, whether accidental or intentional, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each room. Any repair and/or replacement costs will be charged to the registered guest’s credit card. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.
DAMAGE TO MATTRESSES AND BEDDINGS: Damage to mattresses and linens, including towels, mattress covers, sheets, bedspreads, blankets, resulting from the use of body oils, makeup, shoe shine, etc. will incur an expense for special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged item.
DAMAGE TO OR TAMPERING WITH FIRE DETECTION/FIRE-FIGHTING SYSTEMS: RoccaRegina Hotel reserves the right to take action against any guest or visitor who has tampered with or interfered with any detection device throughout the hotel, including detection devices in public areas , guest rooms, glass breakage points and fire extinguishers. Guests or visitors who have tampered with any fire detection devices or sprinkler systems will be charged for all expenses incurred by the hotel as a result of their actions and will be removed from the hotel. Depending on the severity of guests’ actions, law enforcement may be involved at the hotel’s discretion. If the hotel discover, after the guest’s departure, that fire or detection equipment has been tampered with, we reserve the right and authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for the cost of any damage incurred from your room or property during your stay, including but not limited to missing or damaged items, smoking fees, cleaning fees, guest damage compensation, etc.
DAMAGE TO IMAGE: RoccaRegina Hotel reserves the right to apply a fine of €500.00 to guests who attempt to cause damage to the image of the Hotel through false and defamatory reviews, using this tool as a threat to not respect our hotel rules of which they are made aware before making the booking, as well as protecting their civil and criminal rights with the competent authorities.
Security Policy
CANDLE, INCENSE, ESSENTIAL OILS: Candles, incense, essential oils (diffusion, vaporization, etc.) are prohibited (except for use authorized by the hotel). These items and activities will be treated as smoke and the guest may be removed without refund. A cleaning fee of €250.00 will be charged to any guests who violate this policy.
NO KITCHEN, COOKING EQUIPMENT, FUELS OR FIRES: The safety of our guests, staff and this property is extremely important to us. With the exception of the refrigerators and kettles that the hotel provides, the preparation of food in guest rooms with any type of kitchen appliance is prohibited. For in-room cooking, a minimum cost of €300.00 will be charged, including, but not limited to, coffee makers, electric hobs, toasters, ovens, water heaters, rice cookers, fuels, open flames, barbecues, burners, heating appliances or any other object intended for cooking. No fires, flames or cooking grills, charcoal or gas are permitted anywhere in the hotel. All such items will be immediately removed by our staff.
WEAPONS: The safety of our guests and staff is extremely important to us. Our firearms and weapons policy is designed for the protection of our guests, staff and owners, and look at the presence of firearms and weapons on hotel premises.
Guests and intermediaries who do not comply with our policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises, are subject to trespassing, and may be subject to further legal action. Exempt from this policy are law enforcement officers and designated military personnel who are on duty and are required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exceptions to this policy are permitted for private individuals. Even those authorized to carry a firearm openly or concealed under local, state or federal law are not exempt from this policy. Our policy is to promptly turn over all firearms left on the property to the Police Department if we are unable to contact the owner.
ILLNESS AND EPIDEMICS: RoccaRegina Hotel reserves the right to refuse accommodation to a guest who arrives with a contagious disease. In the event that illness occurs during your stay, please notify the Front Desk staff. In case of serious illness, you may be required to receive appropriate medical care from a nearby healthcare facility. During epidemics we have the right to take precautionary measures at our discretion or as requested by local authorities. We may charge you a fee for cleaning your room if we deem it appropriate under the circumstances.
CONTAMINATION: The cleanliness of our rooms is extremely important for our guests. If you contaminate your room or our property, we may charge you for all costs and expenses, including those related to an urgent and immediate response or those related to loss of revenue, that we deem necessary to address the infestation.
ENFORCEMENT: All staff are trained and required to respond to potential violations of our Hotel Policy/House Rules. Guests who refuse to comply with the reasonable standards and policies established by RoccaRegina Hotel for the safety of all guests, staff, owners, property, and operation and management of the hotel will be removed without refund. In addition to the cost of the room, a minimum of €300.00 for room cleaning will be charged for breaches of our hotel policy/house regulations.
Fire Safety Policy
LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES: Please note that it is dangerous to cover lamps or other electrical appliances. This could cause overheating and start a fire. Therefore it is not permitted to cover lamps, TVs, water boilers, etc…. using towels, wigs, clothing or other objects.
Check-in / Check-out conditions
CHECK-IN TIME: from 4:00pm to 11:00pm
EARLY CHECK-IN/PRE-REGISTRATION: Early check-in is offered subject to availability. If you require a guaranteed check-in for arrivals before 4pm, please contact the Front Desk staff directly to request availability, and if available an extra €30.00 will be charged.
CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS: In the interest of security and to prevent fraud, guests are required to confirm their identity by providing valid photo identification (driving license, passport, etc.). A valid, signed credit card in the guest’s name is also required. It is your responsibility to understand how your bank processes charges to your credit/debit card.
CREDIT CARD AT CHECK-IN: We require a valid credit/debit card at check-in. When you provide our reception with your credit card and sign our registration form on arrival, you give us your consent to use the card to guarantee full payment for your stay. In the event that you leave the hotel without checking out at our reception, we reserve the right to charge your credit card for the total balance of your stay.
GUEST REGISTRATION: We require valid contact information from the guest making the reservation, including first and last name, address, telephone number and signature. The names of all guests occupying the room must be recorded.
GUARANTEED RESERVATIONS: All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card. We accept Visa and Master Card. We are authorized to charge your credit card at the time of booking. Your credit card guarantees your reservations. Please ensure you receive a booking confirmation number at the time of booking.
CHECK-OUT TIME: 10:30 a.m. In case of late check-out, a supplement of €30.00 will be applied.
CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE: Check-out is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Please inform the reception staff of your departure so that room cleaning can begin as soon as possible. If you require a late check-out, please contact Reception before the day of your departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request. In case of late check-out, a supplement of €30.00 will be applied.
EARLY DEPARTURE: Guests departing the hotel prior to their scheduled departure date are subject to an early departure fee equal to 100% of the original stay.
PAYMENT: All reservations and registration must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card. We accept Visa, and MasterCard. According to agreements with credit networks, credit cards are not valid if they are not signed by the cardholder. Credit cards must be signed for. Payment in cash (EURO) is allowed, but according to Italian law and regulations.
CREDIT CARD HOLDERS/CREDIT CARDS: Your credit card is not valid unless signed. We will reject an unsigned card. RoccaRegina Hotel has no control over your bank’s policies and will not be held responsible for any “insufficient funds” penalties or other resulting charges. It is your responsibility to understand how your bank processes charges to your debit or credit card.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT FOR GUESTS BY PRIVATE THIRD PARTIES: In the case of payment for a member of your family or third parties, the booker is held responsible for any damage or shortages caused by them, for which the hotel reserves the right to charge the costs to the debit or credit card provided for the booking.
RATES: All rates are expressed in Euros. Rates may increase without notice. The rates published on the website www.roccareginahotel.it or on any other website or promotional material are subject to change at any time and may increase or decrease at the discretion of the hotel.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE: RoccaRegina Hotel is privately owned and managed. RoccaRegina Hotel has a zero tolerance policy by which we may refuse service or accommodation in our hotel or we may turn away, without refund, a person who refuses to comply with the reasonable standards and policies established by Italian law and the owners for the operation and hotel management. RoccaRegina Hotel refuses service or turns away a guest: for refusal or non-payment of accommodation; if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other narcotic substances and if you disturb the peace of other guests or do not comply with state liquor laws; if you are unable to adequately supervise your children at all times; if you try to use the hotel for an illegal purpose; attempts to bring into the hotel an illegally possessed firearm or anything, including an explosive or dangerous or toxic substance, that is illegal to possess and that may be dangerous to other people; destroys, damages, defaces or threatens to harm hotel property or guests; causes or permits people to exceed the maximum permitted room occupancy; refuses to comply with reasonable standards or policies established by RoccaRegina Hotel for the operation and management of our hotel.
CANCELLATION: RoccaRegina Hotel is not responsible for adverse weather conditions, personal emergencies or time changes.
Upon confirmation of the booking, we will send a link to follow to proceed with entering the data of the guarantee card, on which the pre-authorization will be carried out. Alternatively, we will also send you the details to make a bank transfer.
NO SHOW CHARGES: Failure to check-in on the scheduled arrival date for a reservation guaranteed by credit card will result in 100% of the original stay being charged.
Alcohol policy
Registered guests of legal age who choose to bring their own alcoholic beverages into the hotel must consume them in their room. Alcohol is not permitted in public areas such as the lobby, lounges, etc. Alcohol consumed at special events served by a licensed caterer with a permit to serve/sell alcohol is limited to those 18 years of age or older (valid photo ID required) and may only be consumed at that event location.
Lost&Found Policy
RoccaRegina Hotel assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged valuables or personal effects. If you discover that you have left anything of value behind, please call us immediately and we will try to help you locate your lost item.
ITEMS FOUND: RoccaRegina Hotel is not responsible for items forgotten by a guest. However, any items, except perishable items, left by our guests and found after departure by housekeepers will be collected, recorded and stored in a safe place by the owner for a maximum of fourteen (14) days.
RETURN: We will be happy to return lost items by post. Packaging and shipping costs will be charged to your credit card. A separate receipt will be sent to you by post. RoccaRegina Hotel is not responsible for items lost or diverted during shipment by the Postal Service.
Code of Conduct
100% SMOKE-FREE: RoccaRegina Hotel is a 100% Smoke-Free hotel. For safety and to ensure that our property is not exposed to objects or actions that create an unhealthy and unpleasant odor for our guests and staff, and that is difficult to remove from the air, carpets, walls and furniture are not permitted smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, electronic cigarettes, travel pens, vapes, cartridges containing nicotine liquid, hookah, incense, cigars, burning candles, the use or diffusion of patchouli oil or other essential plant oils from There are strong odors or synthetic products in our facility.
Guests are encouraged to immediately notify Front Desk staff if they smell cigarettes, marijuana or other offensive odors. This policy is not intended to stop people from smoking, but to regulate where they smoke and how this affects others. A designated smoking area is provided outside and away from the building. Marijuana is prohibited at all times.
A cleaning fee of €250.00 will be charged to any guests who violate the no-smoking policy.
Exceptions to the above conditions apply to the room with terrace or balcony. In this room type smoking is allowed on the terrace or balcony. Please note that lit tobacco or any other smoking product should never be left unattended and can only be placed in the ashtray.
ROOM: It is not permitted to move or remove furniture. Not in the room or between one room and another. It is also not permitted to move or remove decorations or appliances, or use them for personal purposes other than those for which they are intended. Our staff will put everything back in its original place, and any damage will be charged to your credit card.
BIKES/HOVER BOARDS/ROLLERBLADES: Bicycles, Hover Boards and Rollerblades are not permitted in guest rooms and will be removed by our staff. Depending on the space available, the reception staff will be happy to store these items in our warehouse. We assume no responsibility for theft, loss and/or damage and you waive all liability.
CHILDREN: Well-behaved children of all ages are welcome. Children up to 2 years old stay free when sharing a room with one or more paying adults. Any child over the age of 2 will be considered an adult. As parents, guardians or carers of children you are personally and legally responsible and must supervise them at all times. For safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended in guest rooms or allow them to roam the hotel unsupervised.
SILENT HOURS: From 10pm to 9am and from 4pm to 5pm. If you become aware of a noisy guest, please contact the Front Desk staff immediately by in-room telephone or in person. Televisions, voices or other devices should be kept at a low and respectful level at all times. Doors must be opened and closed silently. You cannot gather or run in the hall.
VISITORS: No visitors after 10pm. Visitors must inform the Front Desk upon arrival. Visitors must always be accompanied by the registered host. Visitors are not allowed to use guest services, including breakfast or Wi-Fi. As a registered guest, you are responsible for your visitor at all times.
DO NOT DISTURB AND ROOM ACCESS: To provide all our guests with an exceptionally clean and safe hotel experience, we reserve the right to enter your room for reasonable purposes, such as cleaning, maintenance, verifying that the room, its furnishings and mechanical equipment are intact, or to address or prevent a violation of our hotel rules. Hotel staff will normally knock and announce themselves before entering your room, unless we believe urgent circumstances exist. Please contact the Front Desk if you are a “Day Sleeper” or if you are staying in your room due to illness. Management reserves the right to enter a room with a known “Do Not Disturb” status in the event of an emergency, suspected illegal activity, disturbance to other guests, or damage to hotel property. In the event of suspected illegal activity, the management reserves the right to summon the police to assist in the eviction. The right to privacy expires in the event of a violation of a hotel policy/house rules. Law enforcement will have immediate access.
DOGS ARE ALLOWED: Small/medium-sized dogs are allowed exclusively in rooms with balconies or terraces with the addition of a supplement of €20.00 per night. Guests will be held responsible for any damage or disturbance caused by their pets.
EXTRA BEDDING: Protective bars and cots are available upon request. There are additional costs of €20.00 per night. The maximum capacity of cots or bars can be requested at the time of booking only for some room types. For safety reasons, no pillows are provided for cots.
NO IN-ROOM PARTY: RoccaRegina Hotel applies a No In-Room Party Policy. Parties, disturbing noises and/or annoying noises are not permitted or tolerated in our premises. In case of disturbance, a kind warning will be given to reduce the noise. If our request is not accepted, the guest will be asked to leave the hotel without refund. Registered guests are responsible for all persons visiting. Unregistered visitors are admitted only with the consent of the Management, until 10.00 pm. If found with multiple “people” not listed on the guest registration form after 10:00 p.m. your stay will be considered a party. You will be ordered to leave the premises without refund.
BREAKFAST: Our breakfast is reserved for registered guests only. Visitors cannot join a registered guest for a free breakfast. Visitors are required to pay the cost of breakfast, equal to €8.00 per person, at the Reception, to be admitted for breakfast in the breakfast area.
PARKING: the hotel is equipped with outdoor parking, free and reserved for guests; the car park is not guarded, so the hotel is not responsible for any damage or theft. All vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. RoccaRegina Hotel assumes no responsibility for vehicles, occupants or contents. No vehicle repairs within the hotel.
ROOM CLEANING/ROOM INSPECTION: Housekeeping is done daily. This is a 100% smoke-free hotel, including medical marijuana. Rooms are cleaned and inspected daily and a detailed record is kept of each room and linen. Rooms are rented to guests in suitable condition without any prohibited smell. Front desk and housekeeping staff are trained and experienced in identifying odors from prohibited items. If our investigation shows that you have smoked in your room, cooked or brought a prohibited item into our facility, you will be fined and removed without refund.
LINEN CHANGE: Your comfort is very important to us. For guests staying multiple nights, bed linen is changed. Used towels are changed with fresh towels every day. If Housekeeping is unable to change a bed, because there are personal items left on a bed, a note will be left. Housekeepers will be happy to change beddings and make beds daily if all personal items are removed and if the room is free at 11:30 am. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact our front desk staff.
SPECIAL REQUESTS: We will do our best to honor special requests upon your arrival. All special requests are noted on reservations and we will do our best to accommodate your special requests. However, the availability of these items cannot be guaranteed in advance.
RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES: Any dispute will be solely detected and dealt by the competent court of Sciacca ( Italy ).
